Yelp Women Run Sonoma Event
Something exciting happened!!
But first a fun fact— Women’s History month was spearheaded in the 80’s in Sonoma County, the same place where our store is located!
So to kick-off Women’s History Month, Yelp selected women-run businesses in the North Bay CA to celebrate and highlight #WomenRunSonomaCounty, and guess what? Roots & Blooms was selected!
Our founder, Brittney, started Roots & Blooms to bring more beauty into the lives of others, so hosting an event making flower crowns to celebrate Women’s History Month feels so aligned and fitting. The Yelp Elite Squad gathered in the shop for this event and it was magical!
It was incredible to meet people from Yelp, and to celebrate women!
Flower crowns are traditionally used to celebrate the birth of spring, so naturally, as a florist, Brittney taught 30 people how to make flower crowns, with each person making their crown uniquely their own via different colors, flowers, and styles.
You can see the flower installation that Brittney hand-made below, and all of the lovely Yelp Elite Squad members who joined in. It was such an incredible experience filled with beauty, renewal with the changing of seasons into Spring, and the empowerment of women!
What an amazing honor to have been selected, and to meet so many wonderful new people!

Women History Vase
This stunning vase was made by Painted and Plain, featuring important and influential women throughout history. Everything was hand-painted, and it took 12 hours to make this one-of-a-kind vase!
